Ardmore, PA location
Our Fall group classes for children meet
s weekly after school on Tuesdays  for 1 hour each for 6-weeks for 2 sessions.
      
Session 1: September 14 to October 19 
Session 2: November 9 to December 23

Location:  HandRIGHTing, Ink. Studio
               63 W. Lancaster Ave., Suite 6
               Ardmore, PA 19003

Berwyn, PA location

These classes will meet on Thursdays for 1 hour each for 6-weeks for 2 sessions.

 Session 1: September 16 to October 21
 Session 2:
November 11 to December 23

Location: Easttown Public Library (THIS IS A NEW LOCATION!)

King of Prussia, PA location
Our Fall group classes for children meets weekly after school on Wednesdays, for 1 hour each for 6-weeks in 2 sessions:

Session 1: September 15 to October 20
               
Session 2: November 10 to December 22
                
Location:  Vision Development Center
               10106 Valley Forge Center, Suite 106
               King of Prussia, PA 19406

Tuition: $300.00 per 6-week session.   Parents are requested to pay the full 6-week tuition in advance. Please complete the application  page and send a $50.00 deposit to secure a spot for your child.  The balance is due on the first class. Send the application with deposit to HandRIGHTing, Ink., 63 West Lancaster Ave., Suite 6, Ardmore, PA 19003.  We will be in touch with you to let you know that we have received your application. 

Children who are new to HandRIGHTing, Ink. will need to schedule an appointment to be screened at least 1 week before the group lessons. This will take 45 minutes and the cost is $50.00.  Due to the intensive nature of determining your child's needs, assessments are not done during group class time. The Ardmore and Berwyn locations are use for assessments.  Call Sandy Purvis, OTR/L at 610-213-3334 to schedule a time for this.

Private Instruction
Private instruction is available for children at all levels.  Private sessions are available on Monday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Cost is $80.00 per hour and is individualized to meet your child's specific needs.

Class Descriptions for Fall Group Classes, 2010

Ardmore, PA location

Tuesdays

Pre-writing classes for age 5.
   Focus is on prewriting activities that further the development of eye-hand coordination skills, postural control, visual discrimination, following directions, directionality and attention with self-control.

• #102  Tuesdays    4:00-5:00 p.m.

Introduction to Printing for Children in Kindergarten and First Grade.   Focus is on further development of eye-hand coordination skills, letter formation and learning important basic skills for handwriting.  Posture control, sequencing of steps for a craft, and self-management are integrated into each session.

• #202  Tuesdays     4:00-5:00 p.m.

Printing Classes.   Recommended for children in grades 1-3 who need skill development.   Postural, self-management, visual perceptual skills and fine motor issues will be addressed, as well as specific individual issues.

• #302  Tuesdays     4:00-5:00 p.m.

Cursive Classes.   Recommended for children in grades 3-5.  The goal is to learn or refine cursive handwriting and strengthen  foundation skills. Sequencing of steps for a craft and self regulation are emphasized also. Organization skills for managing school materials, homework time, homework assignments and your home study area will be discussed.

Middle School.   Recommended for grades 5-9.  Work on print or cursive handwriting with emphasis on letter formation, legibility and consistency. Organization skills for managing school materials, homework time, homework assignments and your home study area will be discussed.

High School/College Prep.   Recommended for grades 9-12.  Major goals are to increase fluency and speed of print or cursive handwriting, become more effective in time management and basic organizational skills.
